The theme of this year's Project We Care Seminar, Empowering Collective Action for a Caring Community, resonates deeply with us at Make The Change. Our ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) motivates us to leverage every resource at our disposal to create a more inclusive, compassionate society.
This seminar was an inspiring gathering of like-minded individuals and organisations committed to giving back to the community. It was heartwarming to witness so many dedicated professionals and leaders rallying together to share insights for collective impact.
The seminar featured a number of key speakers by Mr Samuel Ng, founder and CEO of Monfort Care, and Mr Piyush Gupta, CEO and Director of DBS Group. Both speakers emphasised the critical role that corporations play in supporting underserved communities. They shared personal insights and practical approaches for business to prioritise social impact, reminding us that corporate responsibility extends beyond profits.
Many notable things were departed upon us through their engaging and thoughtful dialogues and fireside chats that we wish to stand by. Firstly, the belief that companies must remember contribution to community is as much of a priority as profits and anything else. Secondly, companies must think of the long term, and greater success is brought about by greater efforts done for society. Thirdly, companies have a responsibility to the society that cannot be shirked, as the first purpose of business is to serve the needs of the people.
We left the seminar more determined than ever to uphold our commitment to CSR and to advocate for sustainable, community-centred business practices. We encourage all individuals and organizations to join us in this journey, because together, we can make a difference.
